Apple are about to put orders in for iPad 3 low temperature polysilicon display to iPad 3 Covers and Samsung, according to reports.
The HD (2048X1536) p-Si high res display is destined for the replacement to the iPad 3 Case, due for release possibly later this year, according to The Korea Times.

The polysilicon technology allows for a slimmer iPad 3 Covers.

It is understood both LG and iPad3 Case have produced a prototype for iPad maker to test, which should have a 4:3 contrast similar to its predecessors.

The screens will support quad extended graphics, or QXGA, local reports also suggest. Apple, however, are eschewing OLED displays for now, believing the technology is not mature enough.

Other features tipped for the Best iPad 3 Case include: Thunderbolt port, SD slot, Near Field Communications (NFC) for making mobile payments and an improved camera.

If reports are correct, it mean Discount iPad 3 Case probably won't see the light until much later this year or early next year.

Previous reports suggested the device would be available in September next.
